President's Welcome

President Ed Servant

Hello and welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie’s official web page.  I would like to thank you for visiting our site, and encourage you to explore our page.

My name is Ed Servant, and I am the Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie president for 2017 – 2018.  The Kiwanis Club is a service club with a mandate of helping children not only in our community but worldwide.  For more than a century, Kiwanis has helped to create opportunities for children to succeed and thrive regardless of where they live.

I have been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie since 2014.  Having grown up and lived in Sault Ste. Marie all my life, I have a strong bond with our community and the people living here.  I along with my wife have raised our children in this community and know that it is a great place to raise a family.  We have been fortunate to have had many positive experiences and opportunities here, and we have been equally fortunate to provide these experiences and opportunities to our children.  Unfortunately, not every child in our community is able to experience the things that sometimes are taken for granted.  The Kiwanis Club strives to help children in need through a variety of programs and service projects.  Please take a look at the “service projects” section of our website to learn more.

Our membership is comprised of men and women over the age of 25 who are dedicated to the belief that service to the children in our community is a valuable and worthwhile endeavor.  As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie, I believe that Kiwanis makes a difference in the lives of children.  The Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie offers friendship, fellowship, service, and we have a good time along the way.

We, at the Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie, firmly believe that when a child is given opportunities to learn, dream, and grow, great things happen for them.

The Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie is always looking for new members and if you feel that this might be right for you, please contact us and we will be sure to get in touch.
